In October, 1923, Edna Wallace and her husband, Clement, launched the Morgan County News. It appears to have led to the demise of the Morgan Co. Independent a year later in October, 1924. The paper was sold to the Perry family in 1925, and later to Albert Epperson in 1946. Both Al and his uncle William are enshrined in the Utah Newspaper Hall of Fame.
