The Ephraim Enterprise Vol. 1, No. 1, was first published Wednesday, September 16, 1891. Publishers, Murray and Goddard said the Enterprise was taking the place of the County Register which ceased to operate earlier in 1891. The Enterprise Publishers say of themselves,
"We wish to announce to our readers in this, the first issue of the Enterprise, that we have leased the old Register plant for a term of years, and that this paper has no connection whatever with the Register."September 17, 1892, the Manti Times-Reporter announced that Ward Stevenson was editing the Ephraim Enterprise. By, December 1, 1892 the Enterprise was under the management of M.F. Murray again and continued that way until about 1903.
